The connective web
You’ve heard of plantar fasciitis. Meet the rest of your fascia.
That “-itis” on the bottom of your foot? It’s inflammation of the fascia there. Fascia is the connective tissue that wraps every muscle and runs, unbroken, through your entire body: a stretchy, supportive web that holds you together and organizes how you move.
Here’s the part most training misses: muscles don’t work, tighten, or ache in isolation. They’re linked along fascial lines. Tight hamstrings and calves along your superficial back line can tug all the way up into your neck, headaches included. So we treat the whole chain, not just the spot that’s shouting.

Release tension
Free up the areas that have been quietly holding on.
Correct imbalances
Find the weak links, left to right, and build them back up.
Restore range
Get your joints moving the way they’re meant to.
Carry it into life
Strength and ease that show up outside the gym, too.
How we train
Not “get sweaty and go home sore.” Actually get somewhere.
Every session opens with 10-20 minutes of fascial release and stretching, priming the tissue and lubricating the joints before you ask them to work. Then we train: strength and movement built around your imbalances, not a generic routine.
Phase 01 · Prime
Release & mobilize
10-20 minutes of fascial release and stretching to prime the tissue and lubricate the joints before you load them.
Phase 02 · Train
Strength around your imbalances
Strength and movement built around your weak links, correcting them, instead of handing you the same routine as everyone else.
On recovery, the thinking has moved on. The old advice, rest and ice everything, can actually slow healing by limiting blood flow. Nick leans toward keeping you moving (gentle, appropriate movement) to bring circulation and repair to the tissue. That said: he never makes blanket statements about the human body. What works for one person doesn’t always work for the next, so he finds what works for you.
This is a training approach based on Nick’s experience, not medical advice or a substitute for physical therapy.
The proof
Most people are surprised how much better they feel.
Skeptical is fair, a lot of people are, right up until the first session. Here is what some of the people Nick trains have to say, in their own words.
“

Meet your trainer
Hi, I’m Nick. I train the muscle you’re actually trying to work.
I’m a NASM-certified personal trainer with a BA in Exercise Science from Towson, and I’ve spent 6+ years and 6,000+ hours coaching people here in Frederick. My programming covers the whole toolkit: stability, strength, endurance, plyometrics, calisthenics, balance. But it starts by finding the muscle imbalances holding you back and correcting them.
Why I train fascia first
This isn’t something I only read in a textbook. At 18, a snowboarding accident dislocated my shoulder and tore my labrum. I was young and figured it would sort itself out, so I put off treatment, and it got worse: the shoulder started slipping out with less and less force. It turned out the socket itself was damaged. At 22, I had a Latarjet reconstruction with a bone graft taken from my hip, and I was told to give up overhead training for good.
That advice didn’t sit right with me, so I went looking for a better way. The release-and-stretch work I now build every program around is what I found. Today I train overhead again on my own terms, and that shoulder feels strong. I’ve worked back from other things too: a pinched nerve in my lower back, and years of skateboarding that were hard on both ankles. Each time, the same principles, keeping the tissue mobile and the whole chain working together, are what got me moving well again.
I won’t tell you your body will respond exactly like mine. It might not, and I never make blanket statements about the human body. What I can tell you is that I’ve lived this approach, and that’s why I believe in it enough to coach it.

How I coach
I’ll push you. I’m also relentless about one thing: that you feel the right muscle working, with no added discomfort. What works for one person doesn’t always work for the next, so my job is to find what works for you, keep it fun, track the progress, and get you back to enjoying life to the fullest.
This is personal training based on my own experience and study. It isn’t medical advice or a substitute for physical therapy.
Questions, answered
Common questions.
Does fascia training actually work?
Most people are skeptical, right up until the first session, then surprised by how different they feel moving. Nick’s approach is built on exercise science and current research, not gym-bro folklore, and it’s designed around your body, not a generic routine. You’ll feel the difference in how you move; the reasoning is there whenever you want it. (Training based on Nick’s experience, not medical advice.)
What is fascia, and why train it?
Fascia is the connective tissue that wraps every muscle and runs, unbroken, through your whole body. Because it links muscles along lines, like the superficial back line, tension in one place can show up somewhere else entirely. So we train the whole connected system, not just the spot that’s sore.
Is this the same as physical therapy?
No. This is personal training for everyday aches, tension, and strength, for people who aren’t injured enough for PT but don’t want to just live with the discomfort. It’s not a substitute for physical therapy or medical care.
Where does Nick train, and what does it cost?
